So I'm a little worried about the temp in my chams cages. At the basking spot in Angels cage its at 85 degrees with temp thoughout the cage is room temp of 75 degrees. She doesnt spend but 10 to 20 min under her basking spot though. Ringo's cage temp is pretty much the same. Humidity is about 55%-60%. Is the temperature too low?

Cage info: 2x3x4 handmade wooden cage, shower curtain along side to help with humidity.

Light info: 2 Exo Terra Repti Glo 5.0 Compact Tropical Terrarium Lamp
divided between both cages til the June 1st (sadly), 60w house bulb for basking

What species?

They are veileds :)

The females is fine because a lower temp will help them to not produce a clutch of eggs, or at least produce a smaller one if they do. The male needs to be higher though so I suggest putting in a higher wattage. He can tolerate a basking spot of up to 100 degrees

Are the room temps are ok? I need to change up something in his cage today thats the main reason why I ask =)

Thank you for quick response btw =)

Yeah I'd make it warmer too. I keep my male veiled around 95 basking. Room temp of 75 is good because that means he has a nice wide gradient to give him lots of temperature options depending on his metabolic needs.

Yup they need a good temperature gradient, your room temps are fine. Also, chameleons need their temperatures to go down at night and the temp drops can go all the way down to mid 50's so your all set. Normal night temperatures should be able to go down to at least 68, but if you have no way of lowering the temps at night the room temp you have is okay.

Ok cahnged up Ringo's cage a little bit. His basking spot is in the 90's. But he hasnt moved to it yet. He likes hanging out under his uvb light. When he was in his original cage he was hanging out under his basking light almost all the time.

That could mean it was too cold and he was trying to warm up the best he could. Was the temperature low in that one as well?

When they were still in their baby cages he would spend most of his time under the basking light. But once Angel got moved into her adult cage a week before he was moved to his, the light fixture that had the 1 uvb light in it was moved completely on his cage and he started exploring and heading to the bottom of his cage. I dont really know what the temp was in his baby cage, the meter stopped working on me.

Now that hes in his adult cage he's in the back corner where the uvb light is. Might need to move the basking light in back.

My girl is hanging out by her laying bin so I'm going to start covering part of her cage.
