So i have been keeping a log Of Mr Esters cage cage and His temp varies between 70 and 80 degrees and his humidity goes from 73 to 80 percent.......is this okay? Anybody know how to stabalize it?? or is the variation okay?? Also If i need to get him a new heating bulb what would be the best one and what watts??

Is this a panther chameleon?

The humidity in my cages isnt usually that high. But it does vary, from 40-65% and this doesnt cause any issues. Its highest when I am spraying/misting, and can spike for a short while to 80%, but its normally 40-65%

The temperature in the cage does not vary much. During the day the bottom of the cage is around 21/22C (70F), and the basking spot around 25-29C (80-85F). At night its cooler of course, especially in Winter, but never below 18C (65F).

I use a regular everyday household tungsten incandescent bulb for heat. The wattage you need depends on the cage, how close/far the bulb is to the chameleon, the ambient room temp, etc. I typically use a 40watt in summer and 60watt in winter.
