Tap water additive

Hi, i was just wondering if anyone on here uses a product called reptisafe, made by Zoo Med?

It is a water conditioner, suppose to remove chlorine, ammonia, and add essential electrolytes (including calcium). Also, is suppose to reduce the pH.

Just wondering because i have pretty hard water and it is city water. Therefore, it has a small amount of chlorine which this product is suppose to remove.

Also, this is suppose to add calcium. If they are getting calcium from the water do they need a calcium supplement on their food?

I would just like to know what people think about this product, and if you think it should be used in a chameleon enclosure.

Thanks

You can eliminate the chlorine by letting the water sit for 24 hours... the chlorine will dissipate , just leave the water in a container with a large surface area, as opposed to a container with a tapered bottle neck.

ok thanks, i haven't herd of that yet. Learn something new every day!!:D

I am still curious if i should use this product though. It has a picture of a cham on it, but so do those twist in style lights that are bad for chams.

To me it sounds like a good product but i want to know what you experienced people think about it. I have only been a cham owner now for about 5 months.

i have tried it be4 on my veiled. But, soon, he started snorting salts from his nose. So, i quit using it and just use filtered water instead of tap.
