T5HO life?

I have a 22" zoo med reptisun 5.0 T5HO. I was just wondering how often I need to replace the bulb. The manufacturer recommends annually but I just wanted to verify.

These do give out a lot of uv so annually is best. If you have a uv meter though many people have found they can be used for over a year.

Never seen a HO that was rated for less than a year. most are 12-18 months.

Also remember these are putting out 2x the light of a T8 model. so if a reptisun 5.0 needs replaced every 6 months because it drops to 15, odds are that means the T5 ho wont drop to 15 till 1 year.
