okay so ive been doing alittle research and i want to know if anyone on here uses t5 LED linear tubes?

The reason I ask, is because I have a quad t5 fixture for my planted vivarium. 3 bulbs are 6500K and one is an Arcadia 6% for uvb. Im running into problems with the heat generated from the 3 6500k bulbs. Its providing too much heat for my viv.

So I started looking for t5 linear led tubes, to much avail. Ive found some but they all require an "extra plug" or ballast which i dont want.

Does anyone know of any t5 led tube bulbs that are out there that i can just relace my current bulbs with, without having to add another cord?

No, sorry, I don't know of any. Is this light on the brev's tank? Maybe you can lift it off the tank a little so that there's more air flow taking the heat away. Or maybe set up a fan to try to draw the heat away?

Yes, thats what im thinking about doing now as ive run into a dead end at find LED tubes.
I already have an oscillating fan in my chameleon room for air flow. I can always get a small computer fan to help expel some heat and raise it off the top.

Thanks

LED's require a driver to make them work, so you either have to buy a fixture that is already set up to run led tubes or change the ballast to one that is compatible with LEDs.
