one of my favorite species, id love to have one. im sure theyre spoken for though.

This species grows slowly, so it'll be a few months before I start thinking about getting rid of any. I also have another gravid female, so it's a possibility there will be plenty to go around.

Here's the dam "Cowgirl" 2 days after dropping the 11 babies in her newly slimmed down body.

OK, let's just say it: they're built like fire hydrants!

Joel, when is this species NOT basking? My males bask off and on throughout the day-pretty sure they're not gravid. I have another female half the size of the female that just dropped 11 babies and she basks most of the day.

I'm not in Alaska! I'm in Ontario, Canada!

I'm relieved she wasn't still carrying babies! I've never kept that species....never seen one in Ontario but there may have been a few here over the years.
