syringe watering?

i think i may have some small progress...

today i emptied 2 syringes next to minion,
a couple of times he moved his head but did not attempt to drink.
when i sat down and looked at the cage he was at his dripper
getting a drink. maybe obtuse but i am calling it a win!

Cool! Sometimes they just need some encouragement. The syringe may not be threatening or annoying to him and may have gotten his attention. Definite win. Are you going to continue this?

yes, i have been doing it everyday for about a week.
i will feel better if i have a better understanding of
how much he's drinking. so it's a bit selfish.

so my mack the jackson has only been at casa de cham for a week but
today he was guzzling water as it dripped from the syringe.

WOO HOO

i pushed 3 10 ml syringes, he started drinking at the end of #1 and
continued all through #2. he was done, but i did one more just to be sure.

amazing how these guys
and this forum
brighten my dreary life!
