Symptoms of RI

Slimy mouth, gaping, clacking or rasping when they breath, eyes closed, lack of eating. As you can see, these symptoms are not exclusive to URI's.

Causes are probably contact oriented, like humans. Good husbandry can reduce this risk, but URI's are fairly common.

Some good practices are to destroy feeders that walk on the floor of the cage where they can pick up bacterial infections, keep the floor and fixtures clean, and disinfect your hands before handling your cham, and between handling chams, so we don't "share" one chams sickness to other chams.
