He seems to be favoring this hand but still walks and climbs with it quite often. He isn’t acting strange or anything but I am worried it’s a fracture or possibly swelling from something else such as gout. Am I being dramatic or could this be serious. My chameleon (Rico) is 11 months old.

Does he still have a strong grip with the limb that's swollen? My cham had has had gout for about seven months now. When it was in its early stages he used to let his back leg hang pretty often which is what caught my attention and had a weaker grip. He had a bit of swelling on the wrist area then his knee became really swollen. I took him to the vet as soon as I noticed it and the vet poked it with a needle where it was swollen but only blood came out. About three weeks later his knee developed a huge bump and I knew for sure it was gout. Took him back and sure enough he was diagnosed with gout. I give him oral meds daily since then and he seems to be doing fine now.
