I hope I attached this correctly

Male veiled approx. 5.5 months old

He seems to be happy as far as his color and temperment. He has been less active than usual lately which has caused me to keep an eye on him. Basically I was wondering if there is a process in which to go about helping him.. I have heard lube and baths and such. If there is a link please send away! Mostly I am just worried about causing some sort of prolapse.

his tail looks fine.

I dont see any signs of swelling.

the tail bases get thicker as they get older, this could be what you are seeng.

You said he isnt as active as much.. whats his baskig temp, and how much food does he eat?
Also, how old is his UVB bulb?

His bulb is only 3 months old. Basking temp is around 85. Drinks well, hates crickets but I do managed to get him to eat them accompanied with some silks. I am not really concerned about the amount of activity just that it has slightly decreased. He loves to come out and I let him free range on a tree in my home and his love for that hasn't changed. I'm just worried about his plump bottom lol should i post another photo?

It is sperm that comes out of their vent. Sometimes it is wet and they will wipe it on the branches or vines and you will find it hanging. Sometimes it is dried and you will find it hanging out of the vent. It is yellowish in color and you might mistake it for a worm at first if you don't know what it is. So don't freak!!

basically it looks like an inch long booger.

Sperm plug to mine is like dry yellow flake/snake skin. :)

I don't see any wrong on the photo as well. I know that male will have bulge near the vent and it's supposed to be big (looks like swollen)

Just solely based on my opinion when you are sure that it's semen plug you may gently pull it out.

Somehow it just dries out and becomes too sticky and cham will have problem removing it. Mine sticked for almost 2 days and I realized something went wrong and decided to pull it out.

Now, don't be alarmed when you see his inside coming out because I was. I realized now that it was one of his hemipenes. If it's too sticky and you see blood then stop the whole process and get him to the vet.

I talked with Dave, one of chameleon master, and he said it's okay to pull it out :)

Hope that helps!

Thank you so much for your quick reply! I kept the area moist and he passed it this morning and my mind is now at ease! He is back to normal. It's so nice to have you all here to help! :)
