Swollen eye?

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the forums and I just wanted to say that I've learned SO much from everyone on here, it's incredible! So thank you for that!

I have recently acquired a 7 month old male ambilobe panther chameleon. He has been in my care for about 2 weeks now. He appears to be healthy. Poo/urates are the proper colors, is active during the day and sleeps well at night. However, I've come to notice a bit of white around both his eyes and a little more on his left eye and I can't help but wonder if it looks a little swollen too (see attached image). I have noticed that some chams just have that coloring when they're a little older so Im hoping this is just him growing? I really hope it's nothing serious as I've been doing my best to do everything right. Here's all the required information:

Chameleon Info:

Your Chameleon - 7 month old male ambilobe panther chameleon

Handling - he hasn't been comfortable enough to climb onto my hand to come out yet but I usually put my hand in his cage maybe 2-3 times a day for him to climb over and he does

Feeding - 10-15 medium crickets every second day gutloaded with Mazuri hi calcium gut load diet and crushed up Mazuri rodent pellets suggested by reptile store owner (not a commercial pet store)

Supplements - Exo Terra calcium and multivitamin powder. Calcium is with Every feeding. Multivitamin has only been once since I got him and will continue with 2 times a month

Watering - misting 2-4 times a day with a dripper during the day when I'm at work

Fecal Description - brown with white urate

History - came from a small local breeder. Said he was one of the healthiest ones he had

Cage Info:

Cage Type - 24"x18"x36" exo Terra screen terrarium with closed off sides and back to keep heat and humidity in

Lighting - UVB: 24" 5% arcadia bulb. Heat: 100watt ceramic heater within a reptisun dome with dimmer switch

Temperature - thermometer reads between 25-28 degrees Celsius in the middle of the cage. 28-30 at basking spot and drops between 18-20 at night time

Humidity - after misting for several minutes the hygrometer reads between 70%-80% and drops down to 40%-50% within a couple hours. I mist again onces everything has dried

Plants - I am using 4 live plants. One pothos, one schefflera plant, one prayer plant and one croton plant. And artificial vines and plants in the top corners

Placement - cage is located on top of a dresser in the corner of our bedroom. Not near any vents or heat radiators. Top of cage is about 6 feet from the ground

Location - Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Where we have hot summers and brutally cold winters.

Current Problem - noticed white around his eye and possibly looks swollen

Thank you in advance for all your help! Please note the cup on the bottom was only there before I acquired Charles.

I agree, his eye looks fine to me. Keep him well hydrated and make sure he gets his supliments as described in our care sheets here on the forums. Panthers often have white on their eye lids. I included some pictures of some of my breeders for you as comparison. Keep up the good work! Also look in to the thread I included with info to keep your guys eyes healthy!

The middle picture is of Draco, a baby (now a big boy) that got himself a perfect home with Tim in Texas! Picture kindly shared by Tim (thank you sir!).

His eyes look completely normal! Very handsome looking boy you got there and what a stunning set up! Lucky man!
Thank you SO much! That really means a lot! Put a lot of work and love into his setup. He's definitely a fan :)

Good to know about his eyes too! You can't help but worry sometimes with all the changes they make as they grow lol He's my very first cham (and probably not my last) and I just wanna make sure he's all good!
