Swollen digits---MBD??

Hello, female Jackson, several week history of hand/arm swelling, some loss of appetite. All the other chameleon look normal
Chameleon - Jackson, female, 18 months, ours for six months, 2 months ago dropped 10 healthy babies
Handling -4x weekly to transfer to shower
Feeding -crickets, ad lib in cage, daily with Flukers calcium, weekly with Herptivite
Supplements -see above
Watering -4x weekly overnight in the shower, daily spray in cage
Fecal Description - normal, sorry for the lack of details
Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? No
History - years ago had a male with similar problems
Cage Info: screen, 2x2x4ft, two females separate from male cage
Lighting - 12 hours on/off, incandescent 75W, plus fluorescent Reptisun
Temperature -75F at light, 60F at night
Humidity -60%
Plants - fake
Placement - summer, on lawn in sun, winter sunny cool basement, 18in off floor, no vents or breeze nearby
Location - Philadelphia, PA

you would really need to post pics. swelling can be a sign of gout. mbd usually is when the limbs curve as opposed to swell.

IMO they should not be housed together.

Temperature -75F at light, 60F at night This is pretty vague, what is your basking temp? Ambient day time temp in the room?

Yeah...what happened with the male? I think that's important information. I tend to agree that gout is more likely than MBD.

What do you use to gutload your feeders?

Crickets--gut loaded with Timberline cricket meal and this funky orange cube vitamin stuff (looks like jello)

All chameleons, male and two females fed the same food and supplements. Ambient temp in room 65F, females share 2x2x4ft cage, thickly planted, male invisible to them

Will do, photos pending. Female now has some swelling of both forearms

I think you need to get it to a vet right away since its getting worse that quickly.

Also...you said you supplement with "Calcium--with vitamin D
Herptavite-- "with beta carotine" "...you should be using phos.-free calcium without D3 at most feedings and only use the one with D3 a couple of times a month. You may be causing it kidney damage which is leading to gout by overdoing the D3...but you need a vet to run some tests to be sure. I'm not a vet and just giving you one possibility.

Hey, that's the best lead I've gotten so far. No good exotic vets nearby, might have a funeral soon, as she's declining.
