supplementation

the schedule I use for my veiled and I know alot of other forum members use is as follows: 1) calcium without D3 at every feeding (I only dust crickets/roaches, not worms) 2) calcium with D3, once every 2 weeks and 3) multi vitamin once every 2 weeks (on alternate weeks of calcium with D3) Gutloading your feeders with fruits/veggies/greens is just as important as supplementing them. If you want more info on gutloading do a search and there is lots of different ideas/blogs/recipes to be found.

i zoomed repti calcium 3 days a week & zoomed reptivite with d3 3 times a week. some may say this is too much d3 when infact it isnt. it offers a low, consistant dosage of d3 as opposed to dosing a large amount once or twice a week with other products containing d3. it also contains a good balance of d3 & preformed vitamin a. this backs the arguement that chams cannot convert beta carotine into vit a. ive started doing this about a month ago ever since an extremely experienced cham owner has suggested it. it has been working great up till this point. be weary of following a suppliment schedule without knowing products used & what they contain. ive used the calcium only every week, cal with d3 twice a month & multivitamin once a month schedule with success but it all depends on what suppliment your using & wht it offers. consistency is key with chams. also be anal about your schedule so you can determine any faults easily & know what changes need to be made. happy chaming.
