Supplement Schedule

Hey everyone, I have a 6 month old male Panther chameleon,
Im looking for help because I want to implement a supplement schedule, but I'm not sure about all the information.

First of all, I was misinformed by the pet store and bought the spiral uvb light, I'm getting a reptisun 5.0 in a week. However, I positioned the enclosure right beside a large window, so for most of the day my chameleon gets direct sunlight.

Would someone help me with a supplement schedule? I know this has been asked before but I'm a little confused about some things, such as how much camclium he would need since he is direct sunlight.

not to sure about panther supplementation, but unless you have windows that are completly open (no glass btwn the cam and sun) then the window isn't doing anything for your cham good luck and im sure someone will chime in on a schedule soon here:)

right, house windows block uvb. Your chameleon will be alright for a few days until you get the new linear tube bulb.

No one can tell you exactly how to Supplement. There are a lot of variables. Type of chameleon, gendre, age, what insects you offer, how you gutload those insects, the brand of supplements you use (what's in the supplements), how much access to outdoors/sunlight it gets....

I can tell you what I do. And I can refer you also to a list of threads I've collected on the subject:
https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon/65-supplements.html
https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon/75-feeder-nutrition.html

What I do is:
Calcium (phos free and no D3) dusted lightly on every cricket. Note: I dont offer crickets every meal.
Once every other week, I use a calcium with D3 powder instead. Opposite weeks to the D3 I use a vitamin supplement (with beta carotene, not preformed vitamin a)
Superworms I usually dust, like the crickets.
I sometimes dust silkworms with calcium, if there werent also crickets offered that day.
I rarely if ever dust butterworms, roaches, isopods, stick insects, hornworms, moths, cabbage loppers

I havent had chance to update it in a week or so, but if you want to see exactly what I do, read my blog entries in which I list what my panther chameleons eat (including supplements) in detail.https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon

My chameleons get next to no access to the outdoors. I dont direct supplement with retinol. I do gutload all crickets. I feed almost every day, and try not to feed the same prey more than twice in a row. I breed a lot of my own bugs. I grow a lot of the veggies my insects eat (especially dandelion, as its a weed!)

And I am a long, long way from knowing everything about chameleon nutritional needs. I dont think anyone yet knows nearly enough.
