How do I know how often to give my Veiled Chameleon these supplements?

I've only dusted my crickets one time for each (d3 one day, multivitamin the next day) during the beginning of the month.. Would it be okay to dust them with d3 and multivitamin once a week? My chameleon is well over 7 months old.. but her age is unknown x_x

Calcium with D3 is twice a month and Multivitamin is twice a month, but you need to have plain calcium without D3 for every day

Thank you! That was the plan that I was going to do (twice a month). I read about someone doing it once a week, so I wanted to ask to make sure.

:)

Your welcome, asking is the best thing to do when unsure ^^ no questions are unimportant when it comes to our scaly friends' health <3

what brand of supplements?
does the chameleon go outside?
how do you gutload?

Rep cal brand calcium, calcium D and multivitamin. & Right now my Chameleon has white stuff coming out of one of his nostrils.. I read that it could be over calcium .. when I dust my crickets.. I dust them way too much! So I'm going to lay off of calcium for a couple days (let me know if this is okay! :D)

No the chameleon doesn't go outside. What would be the lowest temp she can go out? And do you mean by setting the cage outside? (I just got her recently, I would love to set her out in the spring :) )

I've been feeding my crickets Kale and another leafy green.. I'm not sure if they've been even eating it though. I also have Flukers quencher in the cricket cage and I've been putting some wheat germ down since they seem to like it. I do have the bug burger but haven't put any in lately. I had 2 cricket cages, and everyday caught about 15 crickets and placed them in the cage that I was planning to gut load for the day. Is there an easier way to do this? Do you just feed all your crickets a gutload? (thars what I've been trying to do though like I said I'm not sure if they're even eating the greens)

Skipping a few days if okay, but you don't have to. Just start dusting lighter (bugs should only be one shade lighter, not like ghosts.) those supplements are fine to use 2 times a month with plain calcium at nearly every feeding. I feed all my bugs the same stuff so they are always gutloaded. If you can't tell if they have eaten any veggies/fruits, then you have been putting too much in. Try to only put enough in that they eat it within a day. Dry gut load can be left in 24/7.

You can take her whole cage outside if you want. If she isn't in a secured cage though, you need to watch her like a hawk. Many a chameleon have gone missing from just turning around for a moment.

Have you looked into how to prevent/reduce eggs? If you haven't, I suggest looking into it since you think she is over 7 months old. Reducing food intake and lowering temps can help prevent laying eggs which will help extend her life.

How much do you think I should feed her a day? I've been feeding her about 15 crickets + meal worms, wax worms and I'm going to try dubia roaches.

Usually it's recommended for a healthy female to eat 5-7 crickets or the equivalent of every other day. Recommended temps for the basking spot is 82-84 ish.
