Supp. & Schedule 4 Nosy-Be

Im getting a nosy be in the next few days. Can anyone please help me with what brands of supplements to use and a schedule for 1 month old-adult? Thank you :)

I will fill in supplement help tomorrow when I have a free second but stay away from buying a baby that small, honestly. A month old baby is still very unpredictable and they can be more delicate than a slightly older chameleon. I don't trust people who sell chameleons that young either, it seems like they're just eager to make the money but not put in the time to ensure the health of the animals when they go to their new homes. Try to wait until you find another Nosy that's closer to 3 months old or older, you'll probably have a much better experience raising him.

I'll answer your question tomorrow, I just really wanted to give you a heads up before I forgot.

I would but theyre almost twice as much, plus I do plan on breeding on a small scale as a hobby down the road. Thank you very much!! :D

I can always pay them $10 to hold onto it for a week or 2 to pay for feeding and housing while I gather juvenile care info. They let me make payments on my ambilobe and housed it for me for a couple extra weeks last time, couple items I ordered for it lagged. :)

I'm just saying, we see people come on here all the time with chameleons that are 2-6 weeks old and they don't always do well. One of my friends is a vet and even a couple of his 1-2 month old babies have passed, from one reason or another. It just happens, they're more delicate, and not all babies in a clutch will be strong enough to survive. Imagine that you get one of those unlucky ones!

I know they're more expensive but better to spend $200 on an animal that is more likely to survive than $100 on one that dies, no?

At any rate, as far as the supplements you need:
1. A Phosphorous-free calcium without vitamin D3 (for dusting every day, lightly)
2. A Phosphorous-free calcium with vitamin D3 (for use about twice a month)
3. A Multivitamin (for use about twice a month)

The brand I like the most is Repashy, but there are others that are good too, they just need to meet the requirements.

Good point m8, and thank your for the supp and schedule! I should get a mv with a beta ceratine right? That doesnt have preformed Vit-A correct? You have a good point, I might get an older one. The 1-2 month olds are 179.99 plus tax, everywhere I look they are $350 or more for 3-4 month.
