Superworms

Just bought some Supers for my boys and they seem to love them!

I don't plan on feeding these as a staple as they aren't the best feeder I believe?

However i will gutload them to make them as nutritious as possible.

How many is a safe amount to feed to a 6month old panther and a 4.5month old Veiled?

Cheers

Up to 20% of their diet. It also depends on what the other prey choices are, but this is the most that any one feeder should form of a chameleons diet. Variety is important IMHO.

I echo what Sandra said. For chams that age that are eating everyday I would say one, two max of the size appropriate 1-1 1/2" supers are good given you are giving them a good variety of other prey.

With them both being young they still eat crickets as a staple feeder. They seem to be getting bored of these though and are eating far less than usual.

Yesterday I offered locusts and superworms and they went mad for them. I guess it's time to mix it up a bit!

They will last for months and months. The last group I had lasted me around 5 months before I was able to feed them all off. They are definitely long lasting and I had minimal deaths throughout that time.
