Superworms

How did you guys get your Chams to take to different types of food? Mine so far will only eat crickets and hornworms. He's a 3 month old veiled. Thanks!

You could try putting some hornworms and superworms in the same cup. That has worked for me before but I wont guarantee it.

Letting them go a day or 2 without food and then introducing the new food alone. This works with varying success. I never like to see a chameleon refuse food for more than 3 days, though.

Yeah I thought about the not feeding him but I've not given him any crickets today just left superworms in a cup and he hasn't ate any of them. And the hornworms are expensive for me here ($1.50 a piece:( ) so I don't buy them often

Also I read all the time that you should vary feeders but my parents won't let me keep roaches in the house because they're worried they will escape and make a colony in the house. So I've been feeding him only crickets thus far since he won't eat superworms and hornworms are so expensive here. They're also opposed to me ordering a variety of them online and them escaping. Is there any harm in feeding him only crickets? Thanks!

Dubia roaches need temps of at least 85 degrees to breed so it is unlikely they will breed if they escape into your house.
