hey :) a while ago i went and fed my little guy his first superworms, so i put them in a bowl, propped it up against the screen, and left, and i came back now, and two superworms are gone! and he didnt eat them, because he was basking, so now their in the soil of my ficus! is this a problem? if it is, how should i fix it?

they will probably eventually turn into darkwing beetles, a type of stink beetle if you will.

your cham may try to eat them, but he won't find them pleasent, i don't know if they will eat the root system on your ficuses. its hard to say tbh.

You could breed the beetles instead. If not, I'm sure there is someone in CA that would be willing to take them off your hands. ;)

my mom would FREAK if i started to breed them  so thats a no-go, well then i guess if someone wants them, tell me, but otherwise, ill let them go in the wild :)

I put the plants on stands to get them off the ground plus I put rocks on top of soil to keep bugs out. Mostly works

thats a good idea, but my cham goes down there sometimes to take a dump, so i dont know if he would like it  but i also have to keep it soil, because when those stupid worms turn into beetles and come up, im gonna get them

The same thing happened to me once.
I just dug through the soil a little and found some.
Also if you keep an eye on the soil for a couple of days, you may see some crawling around on top of the soil. ;)

ya i was going to take a plastic spoon to the dirt, but my cham was sitting there waiting for his food to come to him lol! :D i think ill try again soon

Worms may emerge from the soil and simply get eaten. Ignore it, theres no problem really. Dont let too many escape in there though. :)

Not to much to worry about if they dig in the soil. Once they go in they rarely come back out untill the beetle state. The beetles hang out on the top of the soil anyway, so they are easy to spot and remove.

I usually do supers in a cup, yet some get free. They often burry themselves into the plants soil and I find them when I rotate plants. The beetles are easy to remove. Toss it outside if your not interesting in breeding them. They take quite a while to breed anyway, around 4 months or so.
