Superworm, hornworm & silkworm question

Hi guys so recently my Jacksons chameleon went on a food strike and doesn't even touch or eat his crickets anymore so I wondered if I fed him 3 super worms and 3 silkworms and maybe 2 hornworms, would these be ok as a variety staple feeder? Thank you so much!

Yes you will be good with that. 2 of my chams quit eating crickets about 6 weeks ago. Been feeding them supers and house flies alomg with a few horns when I have them. They love the house flies so I ordered some blue bottle pupae. My veiled loves the flying insects

Nice but I got my superworms first and my silks and horns were said to come in 2 weeks later because of delay. Do you think he can eat super worms as a staple or is it unhealthy for him?

I don't have a Jackson I have a panther but my guy boycotts crickets every few weeks. I just stop feeding them for a few days then try again. If I keep trying every day he won't touch them but if I back of for a few days he seems to get re interested. If he never touched another cricket I would look for another crunchy feeder to replace the crickets like roaches. It's also nice to have something to gutload with a good variety of nutrients. You could gutload supers but they are still squishy. I think at some point you would want to add some chitin. I think just worms for a few days or a week, while you are giving him some time off from the crickets is fine though.

Mine loves the BB flies. They are also a really inexpensive feeder to go with all the pricey worms.

Thank you so much for the response my Cham is a juvenile I think he is 6-8 months old, I don't think he can eat the Dubai roaches yet :/ would mealworms do I'm only planning to feed the worms for a week then switch back to crickets if he eats them.

Stick with the supers, mealworms are garbage.

You can gut load supers. I'm not that fiemiliar with them so maybe someone else will post. Otherwise search gut loading super worms on this site and I'm sure something will come up.

You can get Blue Bottle flies from mantis place.com they are a sponsor to this site. If you get the pupae they will start hatching on the way to you.you will have some flies in the package when it arrives. Put it in the freezer for a few minutes to stun them. Then you can release the live ones into the cage. Put the rest in the fridge. Pull them out as needed. They will hatch in a day or two out of the fridge. If you buy the spikes, you can keep them in the fridge for a few months but they will take 5 to 7 days to hatch when you take them out of the fridge.

No, you put them in a Tupperware in the fridge, look at something called the cup o flies. It gives you everything you need in one package. Once you get that. You will see how easy it is to replicate.
