i went to the pet store and they had not crickets or other feeders. so i got large super worms. i was hand feeding my panther them and he got it by the end, the worm came up and looked like it scratched his eye, he dropped the worm and not opening his right eye now. this sucks. what can i do to help him. poor guy:mad:

just make sure his cage is clean. keep with good husbandry and he should make a recovery on his own. i wouldnt mess with it unless you see infection starting to set in. make sure you are misting.

You have to expect this sort of stuff to happen in the wild, so you should also expect it to find a way to heal... Crickets can actually bite too.

Best not to hand feed, so he can be sure to shoot the head end first. Other than that, dont worry too much yet. its probable no lasting damage will have been done. If the eye appears infected or he doesnt open it in a day or two, consider a vet visit.
