Hi,
My chameleon for the past few weeks has been extra vicious and is constantly scratching at the door to get out. Does any one have any advice for me?
Thanks!

We can't guess why without more information. At the top of the health clinic subforum there's a sticky message titled "How to Ask for Help". There's a list of questions designed to help us figure out what's going on. Post answers to the questions so we can tease out reasons why your cham's behavior has changed. It could be due to age, hormones, stress due to improper caging or location, etc.

I understand veileds are a bit more aggressive. He may be acting like a healthy chameleon. The common chameleons I used to wild catch in Libya were very aggressive and I have to believe that the Yemen Chameleons are similar. Chameleons in the wild also have very large territories so I imagine even the nicest cages are small for them. Make sure he has plenty of climbing places and I wouldn't worry about the aggression. Senior members can let us know if increased handling will help with the aggression.
