Sunrise vs twilight

I’m in Michigan. So in my area sunrise right now is 7:55 am. However when I leave my house almost an hour earlier it is what I would consider “light”. I guess it is considered twilight. Should I have my lights turn on at sunrise or twilight.

Our little panther chameleon heads to bed at 3:45. Its dark here at 6:00

I keep my timers set to 7/8 depending on whichever way we are on daylight savings. The sun is already up/down by those times.

I would think it would depend on if they can see the light coming in.. if they can I would adjust to it. If not I would set it up for what works for you. I keep mine at 8am to 8pm. And I live in Michigan too. Mine don’t get any sun light coming in so I don’t have to worry to much.
