summer humidity

Here in the midwest we are having a mini heatwave. Daytime temps in the 90's and high humidity. We have not put in our AC yet, so I'm wondering if there is such a thing as "too humid" for our veiled cham. This will be our first summer with him and I'm wondering if I need to change anything for his care. Once the AC is turned on the indoor humidity will go down some but still wondering. Thanks.

Yes, it can get too humid. The ideal humidity range is between 30-50%. The concern is high heat + high humidity is a risk factor for respiratory infection. Having excellent ventilation will help greatly to reduce that risk. High humidity will also make it more difficult for your chameleon to shed properly.

^^^^ agree and if your seeing 90's temps in your home this is going to be much too hot. Looking for ambient temps in the low 70's in a cage during daytime. I would go ahead and put in the AC now.
