Suggestions for a small tree

I'm looking for a tree around 4-6 feet tall (I can elevate it if need be) to help round out my melleri's 7 foot enclosure. I'm looking for something different from a ficus. Anyone have any ideas?

Scheffleras (sp) can grow pretty big -- probably to 4 ft. You can buy them big to start, though I think they're quite pricey. They look nice and get really bushy when they're large.

Already got a schefflera too. I buy them quite cheap actually at Home Depot and they come in a nice ceramic pot. 20 dollars for about 3-4 foot specimens.

does it have to be real? There are alot of cool fake ones out there. Do you have Homegoods by you? They have alot of great fake trees. They are not real cheap, but way cheaper than you are going to get any where else.

I got a 5-6 ft Schefflera too at lowes that I had to cut down to fit into a 4ft cage and I need to again....they are not the mini schefflera but the full ones. The one you have in there now I believe is a mini. Also just got a 5-6ft Hibiscus tree for the patio but they take a grow light and even then are hard to keep alive but he/she might like the leaves and flowers.

I havent considered a fake one. But don't melleri like to chomp on vegitation once in a while? If anyone uses fake trees with melleri, I would like to know :D

I should have been more clear. I wanted to try something different from the usual plants use. I currently use the big 3, pothos, scheflerra, and ficus but I would like to get a feel of what other trees are being used as well. I know of the safe plant list but it is a really long list and looking up every species will make my brain explode :p
