Substrate

I just got my male veiled Chameleon, less than 1 week ago. I built him a 3' wide by 3' deep by 4' high screened enclosure. Have been misting him daily and will continue to do so until his mister shows up in the mail. My question is, Is there a substrate I can use to help hold some moisture for extra humidity? He is a year old and seems healthy. nice bright colors.

not recommended. He could eat the substrate intentionally or accidentally while shooting for loose prey. some people use the reptile carpet but you wanna make sure it dres out so it does not breed mold or bacteria. nothing is best!

Okay, thank you for answering me before I did something I would have been sorry for later. Ill just stick to newspaper until i can find a pan liner to fit.

try putting some pothos at the bottom of the viv it can hold moisture and it will evaporate slower being at the bottom

Paper towels are the best to use. Easiest to clean up too. I wouldn't use newspaper because of the ink. Jmo
