Stuck Shed.. Any recommendations appreciated

Hey everyone,

I’ve had my panther for about a week now, and I’ve noticed since he arrived what looks to be a stuck shed. I’ve ran an automatic mister for 2 minutes every 4 hours and for 1 minute every 2 hours every other day since I’ve gotten him. I’ll be getting a new Reptisun 5.0UVB strip lamp on Friday so I’m hoping that will correct his really dark coloration. He is very sensitive, so I can’t just handle him without him puffing up and having an episode “I tried once” to see if I can gently rub off the shed. I’ve tried just barely rubbing it with a Q tip, but it didn’t have any affect.

Info:
Panther Chameleon
Cage: 36x18x36 ExoTerra
Mister- Reptizoo automatic misting system- 4 nozzles.
Lighting - 1 Deep dome with Exoterra 75W spot bulb, 1 regular dome with a 26W UVB Retiglow 5.0, and 1 mini dome, with a 13W reptizoo 5.0 bulb(clipped on the side just to try and help), In 2 days I will have a 24” Reptisun hood with Reptisun 5.0 bulb 24”.
Plants - 2 live pothos on the bottom, the rest are silk.
Chameleon Age - 4 months
Feeding - 10-15 small 1/4 -3/16 crickets dusted with Calcium without D3 daily, Dusted for the first time with D3 today(every other week) Dusted with multivitamin every other week (last week)
Ambient temp- My ambient has been a pain in the a$$ because it’s summer time, so it fluctuates between 75-80, I run a fan that oscillates about 10 feet away, so indirectly, and my basking spot is peak at 94, but if he crawls upside down on the screen(I saw once, not often) the screen gets to about 100-105.
Humidity - stays between 40-60 depending on how often the mister is going off.

I’ve been told to leave it, (that happened to my veiled) I’d wait for other responses to come through though

Understood. I’ll work on incorporating more fresh vegetables in my gut load. Currently I am using the Fluker’s High Calcium Gutload. Is using this powder plus occasional vegetables/blueberries a good gutload strategy?

I’ve only had him for a week, so I want to make adjustments now before any long term issues develop.
