  • Cage Info:

    * Cage Type - Glass with vents along front and sides.
    * Lighting - SolarGlo 120 MVB, about 13-15 inches from basking spot
    * Temperature - 83 at basking point
    * Humidity - 80-90% with waterfall + fogger
    * Plants - No live plants yet.
    * Placement - on a stand near the back of a room; low traffic area
    * Location - Canada

  • Chameleon Info:

    * Your Chameleon - Veiled Chameleon, Female, less than a year old.
    * Handling - Once or twice a day
    * Feeding - Waxworms sparingly; gutloaded crickets as a staple.
    * Supplements - Repcal Calcium twice a week, as well as RepVit twice a week.
    * Watering - Waterfall. She drinks from it regularly, and I still mist on occasion.
    * Fecal Description - Normal consistency and color. Never been tested for parasites.
    * History - None
    * Current Problem -

    For the last few days she's been getting really stripy and spotty. Her colors aren't changing dramatically, but she definitely looks different, and seems to be more afraid of contact than usual. I've included a picture below.

Do you have a egg laying bucket in there for her? Try not to handle her unless you have to especially if she carrying eggs. She will want total privacy to lay.
 
I do, but I'm not sure if it's big enough. It's a large pot about 10 inches in diameter and 14 inches deep, filled with soil.
 
I can't tell her size from the photo but the bin should be large enough for her to be able to turn around in. 14" should be plenty deep, just make sure the soil is moist enough to hold a tunnel. She may not be ready. If she is still eating and has a strong grip I wouldn't worry. Her coloring could just be stress from being handled. Does she look like she has marbles in her belly? They usually get that look before laying.
 
Yeah she looks kind of lumpy. The container I've got seems to be too small, so I just went out and bought a larger and filled it with moist sand. I'll plop her in there and see how she does.
