How old is he? Looks pretty normal to me. My male veiled went through a period where he showed black coloration on his face and casque which had me nervous that it was a burn. Youll probably notice that during the day the color will change when hes awake.
Doesn't look too strange to me either. May be a little dehydrated, though, based on the color of that urate. Also what an uncomfortable position that looks like to sleep in!
