Strange behavior

I have two veiled chameleons that have been growing rapidly. They generally move about fairly regularly and actively, and eat well. However lately my male has developed this weird tendency to grab ahold of himself with his rear feet. Yesterday he was grabbing his sides, but after prying off his feet a few times he was ok. Then later in the evening, he fell because his rear feet grabbed his front legs. :( This also happened again today. Its as if his rear feet dont realize they are tangling him up.

Is there a way to solve this? Anyone know why this is happening?
