Hello, I have a female amblobe chameleon and recently won't eat her crickets and used to. She's 13-15 months old maybe older. Also attached a photo of her stool looks different then usual.
She's three inches nose to vent.
Reptisun 10 and 75 watt bulb temps 83.6 bask 67-68 nite
Diet crickets every feeding with calcium without d3 twice a month for herbivite and with d3
Cage is 16"16"30" just paper towel in her cage plants and vines for sure.
Put dug tunnel aka pot in her cage while ago nothing there doesn't look like she needs to lay. She looks over all healthy tougue works seen with water drips. Am stumped...

Are you sure on the measurements and or age? Something aint right, either way.

The urate shows your animal is definitely not getting enough water.

If she is 3 inches and a paradalis. She would be a small female as they typically are on the small side 4 inches and on the big side reach around 6 inches SVL. If you have not had her but for a short time i would question her age.

If she is 13 months or older she could very well have clutch that needs to be laid. If this is the case i suggest you clicking on the "I think my chameleon has eggs, what do I need to do to get her lay them?" https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/faq/#breeding

As the post above stated...Do you have pics of her?

Please fill this out

Chameleon - Panther amblobe female 13 months in my care.

Supplements - every feeding once daily or every other day depends if she eats all crickets in cage with calcium without d3. Herpivite and calcium with d3 twice a month. Calcium without d3 every feeding.
Watering - I mist three times daily til dripping off leaves. She drinks right after I mist reason am getting a mistking or monsoon.
Fecal - attached photo in topic

Hi I attached a photo of her best I can do. Was being a brat trying to bite phone. Let me know how she looks to you. Why she's this color and if you think she has mbd with not eating. Thanks I really appreciate any help and improvements I can do. I will post new bask temp soon needs bout 45 more minutes.

Sorry the website didn't attach photo correctly. I took photo of her standing up needs to be rotated.

Hi, If i could offer a few suggestions on care.
1. I would remove the 75 and get 60 watt house hold bulb. I would personally set her up for mid 80's to no more than 90* basking.
2. Your misting is going to have to step up as soon as you can. You may just have to bite the bullet and spend a little more time misting till the misting system comes.
3.She does look small from the pics and im not seeing any appearant lumps from eggs. This does not mean she doesnt either though. She look agitated and full of air. My best recommendation is to read the link i posted previously and getting her a lay bin as soon as possible.

Her turret appear sagging as if she may have a infection or debris. Does she have any discharge coming from the eye? Do you notice her sit with her eye closed?

A. Being dehydrated can definitely cause a problem with appetite.
-Give her longer mistings till the misting system comes.
-See if she will eat horn worms or silk worms. These insects are full of moisture.
B. If she is ready to lay...This will cause her to go off of food.
-Read the link i posted above.

Im kinda jumping off course here but it is hard to give advice without knowing the care first hand and the specific chameleon. I personally dont think this is the case but i guess a possibility. She may be bored with crickets. You may want to try roaches, silk worms or horn worms.

I would also take her next stool in for a analysis.

Hi I changed it to a 50 watt today took a bit to find the right bulb. Just a regular soft white household bulb will be ok right or should I got a clear bulb halogen household.
The past few days I been home more misting right when I notice dryness even if leaves are showing water drops. I have a laying bin in there ready keeping it wet and testing it with finger to make tunnels working well and organic.

Actually yea sits with eyes close til she hears a noise. Her eye only one has a bulge under it and like it pulses and gets strangely bigger then the other. She just finished a shed and shed on eye and near spine.
I just had a huge vet bill with my dogs surgery mass on spleen. Am tapped out and can't get these type of feeders only available online. Don't understand why pet smart wont carry these soft bodied worms. Maybe she's sick of crickets got her to eat a superworm I over dusted calcium on it in case her body needs it.
Roaches? What type would a chameleon this size eat Dubia but those you get online like the worms. I only can get waxworms crickets or super worms. Don't have a credit card right now.
Would could they find that's wrong in her stool. Good idea hopefully only cost a few bucks for a stool test. I lost my male panther I cannot lose her too. I also have a veiled chameleon female with same setup and only pooping urates. Does anyone know how to fix impaction with a chameleon. I heard olive oil for other reptiles don't know for chameleons.
Are these mesh cages good or should I use glass because there ill in mesh cages.
I spoke to a friend maybe give me his monsoon misting kit soon. My only question with it is it good as mistking and should it mist the cage at night when lights are off?

About the fireplace, is it in use at all? If it is that may be part of the problem, she could easily have a speck of ash in Her eye. Also the fireplace would keep her area very dried out and reduce humidity way too low. Even if you are not useing the fire place if there are ANY ashes they could get it her eye. Wash her eye several time a day really well with plain saline solution, the kind made for humans if good, just no additives, just saline. Don't touch her eye just very gently drop the saline, do this several times a day.

Hi thanks for your message. The fireplace hasn't been used in ages needs repairs. I also closed the shoot in the fireplace so it wouldn't suck all the heat from the cages. I didn't want to put them in a high traffic area but there's baby stuff all over the place in the rooms.
That could be her problem because her cage gets very dusty. Thank you mwah! I am going to go get the saline drops for her.

Question - I woke up today to find my female veiled not the female panther mentioned above. She has two eggs on top of her tunnel pot on soil level. Never has happen before only like over 30 eggs at one time not 2. Seems very touchy hisses when I get near cage.

The pic is probably displaying that she is dropping them. She may not find the lay container you have provided suitable (dirt is way to dry, maybe not enough space, etc). If she has dropped the eggs, she will definitely want to release them within the next day or so. Againm the link provided will state how to set up a proper lay bin.

A proper lay bin is very is important and at this point needed ASAP...

It's about 12" width and deep the pot. Drys fast that was right after I misted the container. I tried sand but couldn't make a starter tunnel. I'll see what I can do the dirt is frozen outside bring it in tomorrow. She has used this container in the past with success of 40 eggs and then second clutch. She hasn't been with a male.

Children play sand works great and it is under 5 bucks just about anywhere. Generally straight out of the bag the moisture for building tunnels is perfect. If it isnt all you need to do is add a little water.

I'll try this sand but my pot and tunnel I made worked. She's burying the hole so I have to check for eggs later after I feed her. Thanks anyways and the panther still isn't eating. No signs of egg laying still overwhelmed with her. She's my gorgeous little baby.

I have got my female veiled under control she should be on her way tomorrow. Here is the recent pic of my ambilobe female that wont eat crickets. Does she look pregnant because am at a loss with her. Would her cage be to small 24" tall 18" width and the sides 14". Let me know what you think with this very close up pic I just took today. I apologize she just has me scared to death with her new attitude of not eating and used to pretty well. She pooped orange urates and a watery stool topsoil color. Maybe a bit of white with the stool. Think she is not going to survive.
