Hey guys, thought we could start from this and go from there!?

Your Chameleon - Male panther, 7 months old, 1.5 months in my care
Handling - Maybe 1-2 times a week ( mostly to get from free range tree to cage)
Feeding - Apx 6-8 large crix/day plus a super every other day. Feeders gutloaded with fluckers( until I get the crack), kale, carrots, and citrus.
Supplements - Repcal calcium every day but Sun, Calcium w/d3 and herptivite every other Sun opposite of each other.
Watering - Hand mister 3-5 times/day for 4 mins each, dripper all day-off hr before lights out. I see him drink on occasion from leaves/dripper.
Fecal Description - Appear normal, usually apx 1mm of orange on urates. Not been in for vet test yet.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - 2x2x4 screen cage, plus bamboo tree that he uses to escape from the cage occasionaly
Lighting - Reptisun 5.0 plus 40w basking bulb, 11 hr schedule(need to change for daylight savings switch)
Temperature - Basks at apx 86 give or take a couple degs, drops around 71-73 at night, bottom of cage usually around 73 as well. digital temp/humid gauge
Humidity - apx 40-50 percent, goes and stays around 90 after misting for maybe an hour
Plants - One large umbrella with plans for a smaller one higher up
Placement - In a corner by a near a sealed window, he basks at about my eye level but i try to not look him in the eyes, not high traffic at all
Location - Twin Cities, MN

Current Problem - This morning Izzy stayed on his umbrella plant where he sleeps until about noon( I got a little paranoid at noon so I put my hand in his cage and he walked up to his basking spot).I have never seen him stay there before. I saw him drink when I sprayed him more than once today and he also ate a few crix out of my hand. He seemed pretty normal other than his vertical selection.

So what time do your lights go on in the morning and out at night? Noon seems awful late to be sleeping?

On at 7:30 off at 6:30...he wasn't sleeping, just sitting maybe inches of where he usually sleeps. He seemed awake and aware, even snatching crix out of my hand. On a side note I checked the citie's water quality and it seems really good. Other side note, the vertical branches are bamboo from michaels, I believe they are dyed and/or sealed. They have maintained their color and seemed more hygeinic than the porous natural sticks I had in the smaller cage, plus they matched the cage:rolleyes:. That's all The misc stuff that comes to mind...I'll try to upload a pic of the cage, but he's sleeping. Think the flash will wake him?

just don't move the cage in anyway or they have a way of knowing! I take pics of my cham sleeping all the time and he never wakes up!

Your set up looks good, supplements and all. Maybe you are just worrying for nothing!!! Sometimes they do little things out of the norm and we freak out!

I think I got it...here in lovely MN we just got over 6in of snow so the heater was keeping up more than normal, pretty sure he felt no need to bask, or move for that matter. Thanks for easing my mind, I really try to suppress the paranoia, but it occasionally gets the best of me haha. As a prize for your troubles, I give you Izzy's pajamas:
