Starting To Worry, Need Advice!

I'm in tears nearly worrying, today is the 6th day that my 11 month old panther chameleon, Sebastian hasn't eaten a thing. His silkworms came this morning and won't even eat those :(

Anyway took so pics, his fat pads don't seem to look as plump as they did :(

Chameleon Info:

Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?

Red Bar Panther Chameleon. Male and 11 months old and had Sebastian for Roughly had him since August 2011 or a little earlier

Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?

Once a week, sometimes Sebastian does climb onto me on his own

Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the
schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?

Hi main staple is crickets and locusts. Try and mix up his diet but won't eat dubia roaches and any type of worm anyway. I use calcium cricket food by T-Rex, bran, greens.

Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?

I use calci-dust with D3 by VetArk 2-3 times a month, I use Reptivite vitamins without D3 1-2 a week

Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?

Little dripper and mist 2-3 times a day. I see my cham drink

Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings.

Last time he ate his poop was brown and healthy and his urate is snow white

Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?

No

History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:

Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?

In a 61x61x122cm (X-large Reptibreeze screencage)

Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?

Can't remember the brand but he uses a 5.0 UVB compact bulb that is in a UVB hum that sits on the cage and a 40W basking bulb. His lights are on from 10AM to 10PM

Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?

During the day at top of the cage is 85, middle in the low 70's and at night when all lights go off, the room he is in is a constant 65

Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?

I TRY and keep his humidity at 70% and this is by spray for 1-2 minutes 2-3 times a day

Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?

Only use fake plants, don't use real in fear of sap getting in his eyes

Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas?

Living room, only 3 people live in the house with 3 dogs but he seems to not notice the dogs

Location - Where are you geographically located?

United Kingdom

You should use plain straight calcium on his feeders daily. The Multivitamin, and D3 twice a MONTH.

Refusing all food items

My bet is on his vitamins and nutrients being unbalanced.
Offer food every day until he eats.
Dont start using supplements again for another week at least, then start just the plain calcium for a month, then you can start him on a normal schedule.
I would increase his basking spot temp. I keep mine at 90-95F max. This could help his appetite as well.

I am not sure about his eating but I did notice that his muti vitamin is only suppose to be 1-2 month. and he also needs Calcium without d3 at every feeding. if he isnt eating though you might want to try calcium that you put in the water. I am not sure about him not eating. I would take mine to the vet if he didnt eat for that long. maybe a more experieneced keeper can help with that. did you try horn worms?

I have know experience with that product. So IDK.
It looks ok, in that the ingredients are what you need, quality, cant be sure.
I would try and find Rep-Cal plain calcium.
If you cant that stuff should work.
I would also find Repashy Calcium Plus.
Then after he eats plain bugs for a week, give him the calcium only for a week, then start him on the RepashyCal+ everyday.
Its an all in one, and works great! It will take the guess work out of dusting, and you should never have an imbalance again;)

You should be able to get Repashy calcium plus and the repcal over there.
I swear Ive read other UK members being able to find it:confused:
If you cant its fine.
Just as long as you get plain straight calcium;)

I would say it depends on the area.. Here in Ireland is impossible! The guy I got my Cham from only gave me Nutrobal. He has more than 20 years of experience on breeding reptiles..So I feel quiet safe, but the supplements schedule I have is so different from you all in the States..

Lol, to us far away people the UK is the UK:eek:
I mean I know my geography and such, just not used to thinking about it like yall are Im sure...

I just feel I'm left out sometimes from not living in USA! Plus living in a island doesn't make it any better.. I like options, they just not here..:(
That's it! I'm moving!!;)

They can go for quite a while without eating if they are otherwise healthy. My first female didn't eat for 10 days before she laid her first clutch. Worried me sick, but she still had the energy to dig a hole, lay over 100 eggs, and fill it all back in again after! They are amazing creatures. They don't need that much food as adults, after all they don't need much energy to sit around all day, lol! My old male, Tommy, would only eat 1 0r 2 locusts every 2 or 3 days. Once their growth slows right down at about 6 months they really don't need as much food.

I wish I could go over there!!!! The grass is always greener!:p
Im not sure if we have more "options" here or not, but some of the people that are here are, well just terrible!

LOL! Right!

That's what we all want to hear I suppose ! :)
Owning a chameleon for the first time is an amazing experience... But I can't tell how many sleepless nights that caused!:)

Since my veiled passed away at the vets, made me a bit paranoide sometimes lol

He still has energy, I picked him up earlier, was trying to clean some urate up and he was in my way and he bit my finger, hurt as well LOL

@Solid Snake, believe me you aren't missing a whole lot coming to the UK, its either always raining or its freezing
