My Veiled chameleons are really getting some bulk to them now! Phylis my female is getting better now aswell after an upper resp infection which is great :) Anyway.... This starbursting malarky. When in the chameleon's lifeline does this occur then? What sort of size/age? And how does it happen? All of a sudden? Gradually? I've alreay noticed that my two have started doing yellows and whites that I don't think they did before.....

I'm a Welshman but I live just outside Bath :) I've heard starbursting refered to as when they get to the right age and get thier proper full on colours.....

Nice :)
I think it's around 7-9 months.... I might be wrong. I'm only had my veiled a few months but pretty sure that's what I've neen told before!!

male veileds can begin to show their bars around 4-6 months old.
you should be able to clearly see various barring and blues/greens when he gets to be about 6-7 months old.
and he should start to fire up when pisssed around 8-9 months old.

Ah right :) I can clearly see the bars on both of them now and the patterns are very vivid and detailed. As I say they seem to have more yellow in them too. They probably aren't far off then. Maybe six seven months....

Are you in the west then Kirst? :D
