Splat goes wild in kitchen

Hi everyone,

well, Splat is doing well.
have him now about 4 weeks.
he is about 10 weeks old.
has grown another 1/4" since last week...total 2 3/4" STV.

he wanted to say hi to everyone, so here are a few pics....

YO, GET AWAY FROM ME WITH THAT WATER MISTER!!!!

I know you have to clean the cage, but do you have to take me out? I like it in there.

WAIT, forget climbing, this plant looks cool !

daddy can clean the cage all day if I can just hang out in this plant.

what do you mean it's time to go back in the cage? I like this plant, I want to stay out....pleeeeeease daddy?

yes, our chams are about the same size...maybe mine is a drop bigger.
I got him at only 6 weeks old, so he was tiny when I got him 2" STV max.
he has grown fast, and I suspect that he will grow faster in the weeks ahead.
Splat is already starting to turn his nose up at crickets smaller then 3/8", so be prepared that yours might be in the same boat soon.


I'll post more pics in another week or so.

thanks for the kind words, and yes, that sniffle pic is my favorite all time photo so far.
I took it last week, but didn't post it untill now.

trust me, Splat's cage is quite the jungle for just a 24x24x12 cage.
he has an ultra large money tree that wont stop growing and is already too big for his cage....lots of cover, and always has to be pruned back each week or he wont get any light from above.

Splat also has two small umbrella plants and a cutoff from that pathos in another pot. the umbrella trees are already growing new stems and leaves, while the pothos is taking it's time.

sadly the ficus I did order in the mail arived dead. tryed to revive it with all I had to no avail.
also, I sadly can't find any ficus anyplace...not homedepo or any of the other nuserys that just opened up now that spring is here in NY.
but I'm trying to beg one of the nuserys into getting some for me...he said it could take a week, but I'll bet he wont even try.

so yeah, no real room for another pot of plants, but if I can get in some ficus I'll pry it in somehow.

thanks for the kind words, but no you can't have him.

he was a compleat acident that I got him, and I totaly love him to death.
I even gave up smoking because of him.
but don't worrie, I'll keep posting photos almost each week so everyone can share in the joy of him.
