Spikes Free Range Done

I finished his free range last night when he was sleeping and decided this morning to add a little bit of foliage that i had left over to the branches. Tell me what you think im gonna put him in it for the first time today so i hope he likes it. All the branches are secured to the wall with small nails on one end and the other ends i used metal wire to secure them to branches in the umbrella. Also as you can see he has his uvb lighting and a basking spot

That looks amazing! I'm sure Spike will enjoy that! I would love to do something like that for Tommy, but he is a wanderer, lol, and I just know he wouldn't stay put and we have two cats! It's something to aspire to when we are eventually a cat free house though!:D

Nice free range area, I am sure Spike will like it. I would love to do something like that but with 2 dogs and sometimes a cat I couldn't trust having it happen. Good luck and enjoy it Spike :)

Very nice

I have an area like that in the corner of my livingroom. I am comfortable with Zippy hanging out there, but, like you, my lights are still uncovered. I would not leave Zippy to roam on his own there because he could come into contact with the exposed basking bulb and get a burn.

It looks like you could create a wall with some mesh and some 2x2 for a frame to close that off. Then you would havea 6'x6'x8' cage. Only thing lacking then would be moisture. :D

Will he not venture to the ground? Seems like you might be hunting for him behind something every 5mins. They are curious little creatures.

Spike never wanders off he roams just where he can in his free range and thats it. Hes a good boy
