Need to know things for keeping Chams:

Plan Ahead.
Do research.
Pick a species.
Do species specific research.
Do species specific planning.
Double check that your planning reflects your research.
Setup an appropriate cage based on your research.
Verify the cage temps humidity and foliage are adequate.
THEN you purchase a chameleon.

This is what everyone would do in a Utopian world... But I know that is not normally how it works in the real world.

If you could post some pics, that would help us ID the species, and from there we could help you in making sure you are providing the proper care.
