Species of crickets????

Are these two different kind of crickets?

The second link didn't work for me. The first are what people call crazy red crickets I believe. I don't like them. They are fairly aggressive and will bite (and it's a pretty good bite!)

Do they? :O I haven´t noticed yet so far. And I had the second ones i posted now for a few months and they just died on me and did not produce any eggs at all. And they were treated the same as the ones I got now.

Those are brown house crickets. I liked those, but they got hit with a virus here and now very few people sell them anymore.

I order my crickets from ghann crickets. The species they use are very mild in temperament don't bite and are easy to breed. They have a whole section that talks about the different species of crickets you may find useful.

I see. They sell both here in sweden but the sellers often have no idea what sort they got. So far I have hatched about 2000 small babies from the crazy red one So far no bites, but guess it will happen soon!

I was careful with them, so they only ever bit me (who knew they could bite so hard?!) Just be careful, and adding a piece of fruit/veggie to the bottom on the cage might help if you free feed. I did see them attack other crickets for no reason though. They had plenty of food and then just killed each other.
