I'm so sorry you lost your chameleon but there are some things I have to say...if you only had it since Christmas Eve and you bought it from a pet store or a dealer they should have known it was a female and that it's producing eggs and may even have known it could be eggbound. I would go back to the person and talk to them about it. If you were sold an eggbound chameleon then don't be hard on yourself. People who are new to chameleons don't often realize when it happens. One more thing...you should not force a very sick unresponsive chameleon to drink you need to know what you're doing and do it so the chameleon doesn't aspirate the water.
