Somethings wrong with Freddie

That is entirely understandable, I know that is how I would feel about my little girl Also, the hedgehog is cool! It seems like you did everything you could for Freddie. Do you know where you bought her or was she a gift?

I'm so sorry you lost your chameleon but there are some things I have to say...if you only had it since Christmas Eve and you bought it from a pet store or a dealer they should have known it was a female and that it's producing eggs and may even have known it could be eggbound. I would go back to the person and talk to them about it. If you were sold an eggbound chameleon then don't be hard on yourself. People who are new to chameleons don't often realize when it happens. I would definitely try to learn more befor

One more thing...you should not force a very sick unresponsive chameleon to drink you need to know what you're doing and do it so the chameleon doesn't aspirate the water.

Sorry to see she passed . I would say when you're ready look for a breeder here, like @jannb. That way you know your cham has likely had better care then pet shops usually give them.

Thanks and I don't really know what to say about trying yo give her water I was just trying my best because I wanted her to live I think I should try what @dshuld said but I think it might be awhile before I try with another chameleon

I apologize, the pictures didn't load all of the way and I went off of what I saw. I didn't mean to misinform. I thought it might be dehydration because that is exactly what my female veiled looked like when she get dehydrated, but I was wrong, and I am sorry.

No its fine she did kind of seem happier when she drank but I'm no expert

Hard to know for sure.

Don't let it discourage you...just read as much as you can on this forum especially and try again when you're ready. If you get a good healthy chameleon from a reputable breeder as @dshuld suggested you should have a much better experience the next time!

Clean your cage out well (disinfect) and everything in it you might use again and it will be waiting for your next chameleon.
