Something wrong?

So I cleaned his cage. Boiled the plants in a very light bleached water to remove bacteria. So I put everything back in. Got the humidity up and temp. Put some food in but when I leave the room and come back he is in the corner (scratching the glass?) trying to get out at the bottom. I let him play on some plants while I was cleaning so he could enjoy himself. So question is.... Why is he doing this?

2 things I think it could possibly be.
1.) He probably really enjoyed his time out of the cage or
2.) The bleach fumes could be bothering him and he's trying to escape.

Could he be seeing his reflection in the glass.

I'm not here to burst your bubble or anything.

But, it's probably seeing it's reflection, this could cause stress in a chameleon.

Should go with a screened cage.

Well after I boiled it I rinsed them all off with regular water to get as much off as I can and smelt it to make sure. There could be a little but I have a nice airflow in it. At 2-3 months old I figured he can still see it without being bothered by it. In still in the process of building his adult cage. I pushed him back up the vines and he isn't choosing to be there anymore haha. Really odd

Do they really see reflection? I've never had that issue. If he really saw his reflection wouldn't he be stressed and try to escape "the reflection"?

He went straight back to that corner again!!!

One of my guys would do this after every time I had him out. Once he got in to his adult cage he quit. So he might just be lookin for more space

Apparently. He wasn't leaving the plant until now... He is scratching at the bottom of the cage in the corner
