My chameleon is about 8months old, but i had her about a week ago of a mate who wasn't looking after her properly, he had her in a viv about 15 inches tall and deep and about 2ft wide with a single garden cane to climb, i now have her in a proper set up 30'' tall 24" wi18"deep feeding her hopper and crickets dusted with komodo cal dust and nutrobol vital sup once a week. But she keeps grabbing her front legs and she's ripping all of her skin off, it looks painfully and she's constantly doing it, she's getting really stressed im worried she may die. Can anyone shed any light please.

Please fill the "how to ask for help" questions. If you can post pictures of the chameleon and its cage, it will help much more.
...is she shedding? That would explain her wanting to rip off the skin. ... Or maybe she has mites.

I read somewhere on here that when a cham is grabbing themselves it could be a sign of MBD. You may want to take it to a vet.
You should also fill out the how to ask for help form so that other people who read this thread can help.

Post some pics asap!!!! It could be a sign of MBD (Metabolic Bone Disease) Also, any history before you acquired him on how he was taken care of.

Here is the form or you can go to the health forum, top left under forum.
Just copy & paste this one - but save a copy for yourself, that way you won't have to fill it out again.
