Hey guys--
My vet knows his reptiles, but he is not an expert on chameleons. recently I've noticed some stringy saliva in my chams mouth.I know this can indicate a respiratory infection, and my vet said he noticed a higher than normal viscosity in his mouth. He said to leave it for a few days (its been a few days) and that if there is no change he would write the scrip for an antibiotic--just want to run it by some more experienced cham keepers. Im making an appointment with another vet that was recommended to me by another chameleon enthusiast, who says the vet knows a lot about chameleons. But, I'm wondering if I should just go and get the prescription first, instead of waiting and letting the possible infection fester? What do you guys think?
