I came home late last night (about 1am) and found this:

Did you leave his lights on that late???? He will need 12 hours of darkness to keep him to a natural day night cycle. So yeah, it's normal for him to sleep at that time but the lights probably bothered him. If you're not gonna be around then would be a good idea to get a timer so he can get his beauty sleep :)

He's a beautiful boy. I agree with the timer. It stresses them out if the don't get a good solid 12hrs. LOL

This light is just the camera flash? It is very normal for chameleons to sleep in funny positions sometimes. Some chams have slept just hanging upside down on the roof. Or even just by the tail :D He looks very healthy and peaceful.

i have been asked privately ~

"y do people seem to 1st find fault, obvious flash." ~ thank you for rep points :)

i think it is a bit to do with wanting to be helpful. I think in this thread the title "So this looks normal?" maybe made people more looking to see if there was some problem.

Maybe sometimes people are doing arrogant criticism but on this one i have no feeling like that. :)

Edit: i dont know who gave rep points. no name was left.

He looks beautiful!

Come on guys, take more than 2 seconds to evaluate a photo before finding fault with someone's methods :) I know we all want to be helpful but we're not if we irritate the OP with an issue that's a non-issue.

Haha I guess I should have given the thread a different title! I just posted this because I thought it was hilarious. My boy here has done some pretty brilliant things in his life, but sleeping while standing up completely was a new one!

Also I'm not irritated at all with everyone who was trying to be helpful with the lighting! I only referenced coming home at 1 to indicate it was the middle of the night and he was definitely sleeping, since in the pic it looks like he's in the middle of walking off somewhere.

Sorry! I wasn't looking for faults :( I misunderstood and I'm old and blind and thought his lights were on! Don't want to be mean to anyone, was trying to be helpful and FUBAR'd :D
