Merry Christmas everyone!

I don't want to bore anyone, but I wanted to brag a little at the same time!

As I have mentioned before, I am a fourth grade teacher, and I have a panther chameleon named Fuego who lives in the classroom.

I have 27 students in my classroom. That is a LOT of 9 and 10-year olds! To keep my students motivated, I have a Ninja-based merit system. We practice being quiet like a ninja, having the determination and perseverance of a ninja, etc. So I call them my 27ninjas.

Fuego has been such a motivation for them. They rarely write a story that doesn't include him in some way!

I am currently researching breeding silkworms in my classroom. I think it would be a great way to teach metamorphosis, and the added benefit (hopefully) will be a good source of food for Fuego!
