I decided to get new sand for my female panther just in case she didn't like the sand that was in there it just seemed like it wasn't suitable for her. The play sand that i originally had for her was white and had thicker chunk's in it so i got her the play sand that look's like it comes from the beach. But i do have a question with this should i put a little bit of substrate on top of the sand and if so what type should i get ? The reason why im asking is cause usually substrate is bad for chameleon's all together and i dont want her to accidentally ingest it. But then again i see that some people do use it any suggestion's o_O?

I've had good luck mixing half and half with organic peat moss. It stays moist just by misting the cage regularly and the tunnels hold really well when they dig.
