Cami's eggs are just turning 3 months, and this wait takes SOOO long! Proud momma is just hanging out in her enclosure, unaware of her little ones growing more and more within the egg... The "orange spots" within the eggs are growing! :D

No, she is the second one I've had. My first one I rescued from a person who was feeding a YEAR OLD female cham 12 crickets a week with only D3 dustings... I had that little one for about 5 months. She ended up dying because her MBD was so progressed. This girl is my second one, and she looks like a totally different creature!

This is little Cami 1, she is what I name my little breeding project after. Loved that goofy looking little thing!

I couldn't imagine having a female Veiled with having to go through their egg laying. I've only had my male since June but in that short amount of time he's had me more stressed out than everything else in my life combined . If I would have gotten a female there's no doubt I would have just lost my mind lol.

Haha, she does look pretty silly in that picture :p. Is that something in between her eyes or is that just the base of her casque?

Oh it has been very stressful! I was constantly worrying if she was going to lay or not... And then the worrying about the amount of calcium I was giving her, worrying about every move she made if it meant she was going to lay then or not, then worrying when she started digging her hole if she was going to be ok... then getting her back up to health. NOW worrying about the eggs... Being a 22 year old female who worries about everything as it is probably does not help me out much :p

The thing between her eyes is a tumor. The vet said that it is caused by malnutrition and bad lighting. She was taken care of basically how you would take care of a gecko. She had a heat pad (EEK!), a red light and a basking bulb only, and water in a bowl. I don't know how she survived her first year with her original owner, to be honest!

That's a lot, a lot of worrying lol. But sounds like everything has worked
out well thus far so I'm sure the eggs will be just fine ;).

Sheesh that sounds terrible. She must have a lot of fight in her to withstand that kind of care.

She was a tough little fighter, tried very hard to get her as healthy as I could, but the vet said her organs gave out on her. Poor little girl :( BUT because of her, I discovered my love for their quirky little personalities!

Thank you! It is such a fun project! If they turn out anything like Mom and Dad, they will be stunning!
I'll bet. Your male sure is a looker and your girl is a purty thang too. How much longer till they're expected to start hatching?

Oh goodness... thing is, they can take 4-8 months to hatch! So it could be between April and August before any hatching happens! Thank you for the compliments on my chams, I got them when they were each 3 months old :) Can't believe how fast they grew up!

Tell me about it...Hawk has grown up insanely fast! I still remember when he was a little neon green thing with that small bump of a casque on his head lol. And I really feel for you, I do. Any day between April and August will mean constant checking and extremely high anxiety for you :p.

It's a good anxiety! I'm a proud cham mother, so trust me, there will be pictures :p They are so cute when they just have that tiny bump on their head... Can't believe how tiny they used to be and what fat monsters they are now :D Del Sol is so shy compared to Cami... She is a guard-dog! She turns dark and hisses at my friends that she doesn't know :p
