Snakes and Salamanders.

Sweet pics guys.

Im starting to see some really big rat snakes here.

Have not managed to catch one yet though.

I got me a Bairds Rat Snake or Arizona Rat Snake a couple weeks ago. Letting it settle in before I mess with it and start to get bigger. Was just a few inches longer than a hatchling.

Ataraxia, they have more "splotchy" I guess pattern than what I have seen. I use this website to find out what is in my general vicinity. http://wwwnew.towson.edu/herpetology/Amphibians.htm
Not sure if they are near me but would love to find one!!! Salamanders are so cool. Ive been catching them ever since I can remember. Id think about keeping them but I can go out into the wild and see quite a few many species in my area so I just wait until the weather is warm to find them. This year Ive been more adamant about finding all of what is in my area though. Its cool the different elevations and areas you find certain species at. Ive got some notes so if anyone wants to go find certain ones I can take them straight to them:)
