Yes. Snails are known to carry a variety of parasites that can be passed on to chameleons. It is best to get about 20 adult snails and separate any eggs into a separate bin to hatch and raise to minimize the risk of parasite transfer.
It is slow going but not difficult. Patience is the key ingredient. The good thing is that they are pretty fun to raise and entertaining to watch.

I'm enjoying the snails as well. They are interesting, and way easier to keep than all my other bug breeding groups.

REALLY? and you just let them roam in the enclosure and let the cham eat when they are hungry?

I haven't fed any off yet as I just got babies tho hatch last week. One they are bigger I will feed them to my boys. They seem to eat snails right away. There are other threads and a video you can check out.
