Slowing down the Hornworm growth

This may be common knowledge on here, but I've never seen it mentioned (and there are so many theads it would take forever to go through them all) but for those who don't know this, it's pretty helpful so you don't have Hornworms big enough to eat your chameleon ?

You CAN refrigerate Hornworms to slow down their growth.

I was told years ago DON'T REFRIGERATE THEM BECAUSE THEY'LL DIE and in every reptile store to this day they still say the same thing.

The truth is, you can refrigerate them for 24 hours and they're perfectly fine. Just remember this: 24 hours in, and 24 hours out. Repeat.

You can do this once they've gotten to the size you want them. They'll still grow, but it helps keeps them manageable ?
