Some branches have very smooth and slick bark, take some 120 grit sand paper and lightly sand/rough the them up. Do this outside and wipe clean with a damp rag. That will give your guy a surface to hold on to as he moves.
Lol not mbd, I just examined him yesterday and I'm sure you've heard of chams slipping on bamboo, same thing here.
Thanks for some solid advice. This was my first idea then I've seen threads where people just wrap the branches with fake vines, I want all natural so hopefully sanding them gives them some grip
thank you! Yeah I just looked at him yesterday he's a 5 month male veiled, no signs of mbd, the reptile expo is the 10th so I plan to take him to a rep vet and make sure my diagnosis was right.

He's still pretty small guy maybe 6 inches long from head to tail, his nails are sharp and yes the branches are a bit wide for him not all of them but some I figured he would have no problem climbing since his nails are so sharp but he does slip on them, so I'm gonna sand what I can today and see if it helps.
Yeah I wanted to go with birch but the wood is very soft and I'm getting ready to set up my mistking, I figured they would be waterlogged if I did so. When summer arrives I'm going to try a few apple tree branches like u said and see how it works, as for now I'm just gonna sand the branches I have as they are all help up with thumb tacks and it would just be a pain to pretty much re do everything.
When I redo his cage later on that's the plan, only thing I do not like about jagged bark is it holds moisture and can grow Bacteria hopefully that doesn't happen. Thanks
